Job Details:

The Billing Manager oversees, manages and supervises credentialing, billing functions and revenue cycle initiatives for all physician practices within the Bon Secours Charity Health System Medical Group. Oversees the operational processes for BSCHSMG to include but not limited to: capitation, refunds, denial management, coding, AR management, charge entry, cash posting, revenue cycle analyses and associated activities.

Responsibilities:

· Provides all related liaison/supervisory billing functions of the Charity Medical Group

· Maintains daily activities necessary to assure timely and accurate filing of claims. Oversees the operational processes for the Charity Medical Group

· Interfaces and provides technical supervision to billing staff on all billing procedures and local system operational requirements.

· Trains/Coaches/Mentors and supervises all billing staff in billing procedures and supervises the day-to-day operation of the local billing operations.

· Assist in the interviewing of billing staff for different locations.

· Provides the transition phase-out and management from sun setting billing software applications to new software applications.

· Resolves daily coding questions and problems that arise in day to day operations.

· Assists Coder/Auditor with coding training and audits.

· Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments as requested by supervisor.

· Participates in evaluation process of billing staff.

· Attends meetings as directed by supervisor

· Requires travel from practice to practice as needed for current projects.

· Runs reports from the current software used in the practice and reviews all to date and cumulative reports.

· Hold meetings with the billers/billing managers in each office every other month. Addresses issues with office managers and plans corrections.

· Should have understanding of ACO/ Medicare Wellness/ Promoting Interoperability and quality measures.

· Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

 Five years of insurance/registration/billing with revenue cycle experience required.

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college required

Other: 

Working knowledge of billing software operation, and medical terminology required.
