Requires experience assessing and solving customer problems by using excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills serving a variety of patients and physician practices. Must possess a working knowledge of commonly used healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures with particular emphasis on Outpatient Services. Extensive scheduling experience of outpatient services and knowledge of physician order processing. Requires experience in utilization of skills specifically related to conflict management. Requires the knowledge necessary to use multiple software systems within Bon Secours. Knowledge of insurance pre-certification requirements, ICD10 medical necessity . Knowledge of medical terminology, able to read and interpret physician orders Must be able to work under considerable stress using tact and diplomacy to ensure a quality experience for the patient and physician. Communicates cooperatively and constructively with patients, area supervisors, families, co-workers, administration, other clinical departments, providers, community agencies, referral sources and other health team members.
High School or Equivalent
Excellent customer service. Previous physician practice experience preferred.
