The Coordinator EMS Outreach assists in the development of the EMS Continuing Education lecture program, including recruitment and scheduling of topic-specific presenters. Familiarity with EMS educational and credentialing process in required.
Develops, produces, publicizes, and oversees the EMS Continuing Education program. Completes and submit all regulatory paperwork to obtain credits for EMS classes. Compiles and monitor monthly ambulance activity for all three campuses. Assists in the updating and implementation of Emergency Plans as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
At least 5 years of Emergency Medical Services background, with proven leadership progressions. An understanding of the operational and administrative functions of Emergency Medical.
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college level education preferred.
Licenses / Certifications:
NYS Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic. Certification in FEMA courses – ICS 100, 200, NIMS 700, and 800 preferred.
If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft programs.
