Job Details:

Provide Employee Assistance services to the employees, family members of MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center and all contracted work organizations of The WorkPlace EAP. Ability to travel between any office and/or business location.

Responsibilities:

• Provides EAP Assessment, motivational treatment and referral services to employees and their family/support system of contracted work organizations. Assessment includes the review of presenting issue; current functioning and history; mental status examination; formulation and implementation of a service plan for both self and supervisory referrals.
• Completes written case record documentation, including notes on all client contacts, collateral contacts, logs, reviews and co-signs letter of introduction letter within expected time frames. Contact the supervisor on all supervisory re- ferrals within twenty-four business hours after initial session with client and document. (ES)
• Provides psycho-educational work and wellness related materials and workshops at the request of contracted organizations, including both managerial and employee level training. Develops a new educational/wellness workshop presentation. Present sat least two new workshop topics per year.
• Provides after hour coverage for 24-hour hotline, approximately one week per month. Provides crisis intervention services for contract organizations, employees and employee family members. Remains proficient in all after hour services provided by The WorkPlace and EAP. Logs in all after hour calls the next business day.
• Participates in at least two-community service and/or educational programs per year for professional growth and development. Gives an in-service to EAP staff following participation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Five plus years of post graduate experience that relates to the field of Employee Assistance work.
• Basic computer and office equipment skills.

Education:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or masters in other related field.

• LMSW or LCSW

• If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
