Job Details:

To assist patients in obtaining available medical benefits while securing reimbursement on behalf of the Hospital.

Education:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent. Education/experience preferred.

Experience:

3 – 5 years working with insurance and government agency medical claims payments in a Hospital or social service setting.

Training/License:

Notary License desirable.

Other:

Knowledge of: N.Y.S. Social Service application guidelines. Program guidelines for: SSI, Heap, SSD, Food Stamps, temporary housing assistance Ability to call, write and present a Fair Hearing.
