Job Details:

Timely and accurate ICD-9 and ICD-10coding, analysis, abstracting and charging of Inpatient records. Accurate and successful completion of correspondence requests and appeal of insurance denials. Responsibilities

• Code, analyze, abstractrecords
• Complete correspondence requests
• Copy records for IPRO, RAC, Tumor registry and other reviewers
• Assist others in chart completion
• Assist in investigating and appealing denials
• Take charts to the patient floor and ED as requested
• Work with various computer programs
• Other duties as needed

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of two years experience with ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, and CPT coding in hospital setting and/or CCS certification, with knowledge of coding guidelines and principles.

Training/License:

• Medical Terminology course preferred
