Westchester Medical Center General Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner: Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Program
We are seeking a Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our newly developed Cardiovascular Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease requires patients to make healthy lifestyle choices and involves a team-based approach of cardiovascular specialists, including physicians, physician assistants, nutritionists, smoking cessation specialists, etc. A Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program can empower individuals to make healthier choices and reduce their risk of disease and disability.
The candidate must demonstrate general cardiology skills and an interest in improving patient’s healthcare. The candidate will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, assessing and managing patients, conducting community outreach, providing health communication and education. Candidates will also be involved in the general cardiology practice all while under the supervision of attending Cardiology physicians in an outpatient setting. The PA/NP will work full-time, Monday- Friday 8:30 am-5pm.
