Starting as a new nurse, I was worried I wouldn’t have the knowledge or resources I needed to do my job well. Coming to WMC, I found a group of educators, managers, directors, and co-workers who not only oriented me to the hospital but modeled compassion and work ethic through their non-judgmental advice, encouragement, and availability to me. I feel empowered to give my patients the very best care with the help of all my fellow WMC employees. Now, I enjoy helping new nurses whenever I can, so they may feel as appreciated and valued as I do every day.

I’m proud to be a part of WMCHealth, both as an HR Coordinator and as a parent who trusted this hospital for my son’s delivery. Working in HR, I get to witness firsthand the dedication our staff shows every day, and I am inspired by how committed we are to patient-centered CARE and professional growth. I started working at Margaretville Hospital as a candy striper in the early 90s. When I graduated in 1993 and began my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Margaretville Hospital. I was part of the team that helped move Mountainside Residential Care Center to its current location. I joined the MMH Ambulance as an EMT. I worked as a CNA on our med-surg floor before moving to the Emergency Department as lead tech. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of learning registration and endoscopy scope cleaning and now I have been accepted to work in our Pharmacy Department.​

As a long-time employee and a resident of the Margaretville community, I am not only grateful for the opportunity to grow as an employee of Margaretville Hospital and WMCHealth, but I am also very proud to serve my hometown and our community.​
